Large-scale Moscow's Attacks Cut Power In Kyiv

Energy infrastructure targeted in Ukraine
Ukraine's energy systems have faced escalating attacks in recent weeks

During the night, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have led to blackouts in large parts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

Nine people were hurt while residents in eastern neighborhoods were plunged into darkness and encountered interruptions to drinking water, per reports from municipal leaders.

Simultaneously, a young boy was lost their life in a separate assault in the southeastern region in the country's south-east, as reported by area administrators.

Moscow has escalated assaults on energy facilities over recent weeks, while officials has called for "concrete actions" from partner nations to apply pressure on Moscow.

"What's needed is not window dressing but strong steps - from the America, the EU and the Group of Seven - in delivering protection systems and enforcing penalties," mentioned in a social media post.

Officials stated that 450 drones and several dozen missiles attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure, labeling such assaults as "premeditated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as winter approaches.

Energy officials said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and repair crews were laboring to restore power.

A barrage of missiles damaged energy infrastructure and civilian homes in the capital.

Five out of the nine people wounded in the attacks on the capital have been taken to hospital, as confirmed by city authorities.

Area administrators said the urban area experienced intense attacks overnight. A young boy was killed and three other people were wounded.

The assaults follow periods of aerial attacks in the area, sections of which remain under the control of Moscow's military.

All of Ukraine is under warning for advanced weapon attacks, which are tougher to spot.

Authorities told the media that Russia was deliberately attempting to destroy the national power system, with assaults already impacting energy systems.

Authorities confirmed utility staff and authorities were preparing for further attacks.
